Because they have no monetary means of support from parents, students of the Lutheran Orphanage in Obot, Edam receive tuition, a school uniform and school supplies for their education. ALL the children have been baptized and 20 were confirmed in 2008. Fifteen children graduated high school this year and are equipped with an education and Christian values to support themselves as they enter adulthood.
At the September 26th Seminar for Children, the Lutheran orphanage in Obit Edam hosted teacher training seminars for the local Sunday school program. Among teaching volunteers for 2010 are four CCCS scholarship students from the orphanage. These older teens graciously and enthusiastically accepted the call to teach their younger brothers and sisters in Christ.
