Cambodia is less than 2% Christian with 95% of the population Buddhist and 3% Muslim. CCCS assistance is requested to improve the reading skills of students. Childhood illiteracy is of great concern as are the slum children who are so poor they are unable to buy clothes of any kind to attend school. CCCS provides funding for teachers’ salaries, plus tuition and school clothing for children who live in slum areas.

My name is NAK SOCHEN. I’m a sixteen year-old boy and I’m also a member of Beung Tumpun Church of Christ. I would like to thank Jesus for supporting me through Ps. Vanarith for my English class. I have wished to study English for a long time but my family cannot afford to pay for my tuition fee due to the limit of financial condition, however I always keep on praying for this wish of mine. One day, my pastor told me to come to the church as he has good news for me regarding my prayer request. I was extremely glad when I heard that my prayer was answered.
My name is SOKUN VANCHHAYLA. I’m nineteen. I’m a member of Beung Tumpun Church of Christ. I would like to thank Jesus and Pastor Vanarith for funding me to attend English class. I have longed to study English for quite a long time, yet my family cannot afford my tuition fee. I prayed daily asking God to grant me this opportunity. One day, my pastor told me that I would be able to study an English Class as I am supported by Pastor Vanarith. At that moment, I was fabulously glad to hear such good news. Ultimately, I would like to say “Thank Jesus for granting me this opportunity. Amen”
